5 Majestic Places to Visit in Kensington

Kensington is a grand borough in London. Featured in the place are world-class restaurants, one-of-a-kind shops, tranquil parks, and interesting museums and galleries. It’s like the list of awesome spots you should head to in the area doesn’t come to an end.

1. The Kensington Gardens

The Kensington Gardens,formerly exclusive to royals, features Peter Pan statues, sculptures of knights, Italian fountains, and outstanding bridges. Whether it’s a hot summer day or blistering cold evening, a stroll in the Gardens is fulfilling.

2. 18 Stafford Terrace

18 Stafford Terrace is a Victorian townhouse with exhibits of artifacts such as late-century furniture, photographs, and diaries and memorabilia of a wealthy family. Even schools and other groups organize tours to see the unique style of the place. If crowds are intrigued, you could tell it’s worth checking out.

3. Erno Goldfinger’s Trellick Tower

A 31-storey flat and designed in the Brutalist fashion, the Trellick Tower is deemed a local cult landmark and is among the most controversial buildings in the world. It has an elevator lift for corridor access and wood and glass systems. Due to its rare façade, you will want to stop by.

4. The Portobello Road Market

If you want to grab some souvenirs, the Portobello Road Market is where you should scoot to. The street, built in the Golborne Road area and takes mostly all of Chelsea and Kensington, is known for its vast display of used goods including clothes, cabinets, and antiques.

5. The Kensington Palace

Famous for being the home of the blue-blooded including Princess Diana, Prince William, and Queen Victoria, Kensington Palace is a Jacobean mansion with an architectural structure considered to be the epitome of elegance. Inside are State Rooms, the Great Court, the Cuppola Room, the Orangery, and the Queen’s Entrance.

A day or two wouldn’t be enough if you wish to make the most out of your time in the vibrant neighborhood of Kensington. There are too many places worthy of being checked out. So, try clearing your schedule for you to be available for at least a week then search for serviced apartments. Kensington is a wonderful place.
